After defeating the Dutch duo Griekspoor-Koolhof, the Spanish duo Nadal-Alcaraz enters the quarterfinals of the Paris Olympics 2024.
Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz won the victory against Tallon Griekspoor and Wesley Koolhof of the Netherlands to enter the quarter-finals of the mixed Men’s Doubles at the Paris Olympics 2024.
The Spanish duo dominated the match from the initial moments of the tournament by winning the first set by 6-4. To confront, the Dutch duo won the second set by 6-7(2) in a tiebreaker.
Nadal and Alcaraz grabbed the third set by 10-2 and put a stamp on their victory and progression in the quarter-finals.
In the last round, Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz got a win against Argentina’s Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni by 7-6, 6-4 in the tennis men’s doubles match at the Olympic 2024.

The Argentina duo took the lead after winning the toss and receiving first. Soon, Nadal and Alcaraz restored their confidence. It seemed like they had been partners for a while now, but the truth was that both were playing the doubles match together for the first time.
Gonzalez and Molteni didn’t bow in front of Nadal-Alcaraz and this rivalry led to a tiebreaker in the first set. With a brilliant shot down the line, Nadal seized the first set.
The Argentina duo took a lead in the second set with a 3-0 lead, but it wasn’t easy to impose pressure on the Spanish duo. Soon, Nadal and Alcaraz won the set and match as Nadal delivered some good serves.
Nadal, who has dealt with a variety of ailments over the last two seasons, including hip surgery in 2023, did not appear to be as handicapped as he was against Djokovic; nonetheless, doubles demand significantly less running and endurance than singles.
Alcaraz exhibited no symptoms of discomfort from a sore groin muscle, which he claims has affected him since Wimbledon and forced him to have a medical timeout against Griekspoor on Monday.
The duo will now be focusing on the quarter-finals of the Paris Olympics 2024.
