The India-U19 shared the honors with the South Africa-U19 in the Tri-Series U19 after the final and title match was abandoned due to rain. The wet playing conditions did not let the match start.
First, the toss got delayed. Though the officials waited for the defined cut-off time to let the minimum (20) overs of the match reach the conclusion the difficult playing conditions at the Old Edwardians Cricket Ground Club forced the authorities to abandon the match.
Since there was no reserve day, both IND-U19 and SA-U19 shared the prize. Now both the teams look forward to the U-19 World Cup starting on 19 January.
