Rohan Bopanna made history on Saturday in Melbourne, winning the Australian Open men's doubles title with partner Matthew Ebden at the Rod Laver Arena. In the final, the Indo-Aussie duo defeated Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori of Italy, 7-6(0) 7-5.
With this win, Rohan becomes the oldest Grand Slam Winner, a perfect example of perseverance and never losing hope.
Bopanna's triumph made him the oldest man to win a Grand Slam championship in the Open era, at 43 years and 329 days. Bopanna also joined the rare group of Indians who have won the Australian Open.
