Indians are known to celebrate every minute to gigantic moments of life. There couldn’t be a moment much more important and worth celebrating than winning the ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2024.

Men in Blue led by Rohit Sharma ended the wait of 13 years by winning an ICC Trophy and gave a memory to billions to cherish. The struggle of the Indian squad for T20 World Cup was nothing less than a thrilling movie plot.

Team India after beating the Proteas in the T20 World Cup 2024 Final was scheduled to depart from Barbados the very next day. But considering the security, as hurricane ‘Beryl’ was in its beast mode the team had to stay at the island nation till the weather got clear.

A Glimpse of the Journey

The team arrived at Delhi airport today morning (4-Jul, Thursday). It was a 16-hour long flight, let’s sneak into how Men in Blue passed time on a long flight.

Though BCCI had made a special request – not to film or capture any photos inside the flight as the team wanted to make it a private matter.

The journey started with a special announcement from the pilot to thank the Indian team for bringing the cup home. In midway, Rahul Dravid was specially acknowledged and honoured to mentor the team as a head coach.

While Indian players, their families, and the support staff were spending their time in the business class, Rohit Sharma, vice-captain Hardik Pandya, batter Suryakumar Yadav, leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, head coach Rahul Dravid made their way into the economy section to chat with them.

The Player of the Tournament, Jasprit Bumrah was seen having fun while babysitting his son Angad. Fatherhood never takes a step back.

BCCI while thanking the media staff, extended the trophy and allowed them to take photos with it. Upon arrival, supporters were seen welcoming the Indian cricket team and waving the national flag.

Happy faces, joyful moments, and an inspirational story for the young cricketers.
