In a thrilling last-ball battle, Delhi Capitals W beat Royal Challengers Bangalore W by just one run. With a quick fifty, Richa Ghosh led a brave charge for RCB W.
With two runs needed off the last ball, Richa was run out at the non-striker's end, which meant that DC would finish in the top three. As they try to reach (182), RCB ends at (180/70).
After this exciting win, Delhi Capitals Women (DC-W) moved on to the next round of the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024.
Richa Ghosh's great fifty (51 off 29) put RCB on the edge of a win. Sophie Devine's (26 off 16) and Georgia Wareham's (12 off 6) contributions kept them in the game.
But she missed a chance to score two runs off the last ball and was unfortunately run out, which meant they lost sadly.
Delhi got off to a good start when they chose to bat first. Shafali Verma (23 off 18 balls) and Meg Lanning (29 off 26 balls) scored (54) runs for the first wicket off (38) balls.
DC got off to a good start, but RCB made a great return when Asha Shobhana bowled out Verma and Shreyanka Patil caught Lanning.
