Wimbledon Men’s Semi Final – Face-Off Among the Best

Alcaraz and Medvedev, fighting for the finals. Whereas, Djokovic and Musetti are going head-to-head in the Wimbledon Men’s Final.

Carlos Alcaraz, the defending champion, is confronting Medvedev to enter the finals. Whereas the seven-time winner Novak Djokovic will fight against Musetti at the Wimbledon Men’s Semifinal on Friday.

Spanish, No.3 Alcaraz defeated Medvedev in the sets in last year’s semi-final at the All-England Club before the Russian took redemption for the loss with a great last-four victory at the US Open.

Alcaraz is setting to reach his fourth Slam final before establishing his target on being the sole sixth man to grab the French Open and Wimbledon Trophy.

Medvedev is eager to enter his 7th Grand Slam Final. Here’s what Medvedev said-

“It’s tough to play against Carlos because you know whatever shot you hit, he can hit a winner from there,”

Medvedev has hit 64 aces to Alcaraz’s 52 so far. He has dropped served eight times while Alcaraz has seen his service games breached 16 times. Medvedev has smashed 64 aces against Alcaraz's 52 thus far. He has lost serve eight times, but Alcaraz has had his service games shattered 16 times.

Djokovic vs Musetti

Djokovic has reached his 13th Wimbledon semi-final, equalling Roger Federer's record, and is two victories away from tying the Swiss star's eight singles crowns at the All-England Club.

Victory on Friday would propel him to his 10th final of the event and 37th at the Slams.

At 37, Djokovic might become the modern era's oldest champion, a remarkable feat for a guy who had knee surgery only last month. This season, he has lost his Australian Open and French Open championships and has failed to reach a final on tour.

Alex de Minaur withdrew from their planned quarter-final due to a hip ailment, giving him a free ride into Friday's last four.

The Serb has been angry at Wimbledon, claiming supporters insulted him after defeating Holger Rune in the last 16. Djokovic said-

“If somebody steps over the line, I react,”

Djokovic leads Musetti 5-1, including a comeback five-set triumph at the French Open last month.

Musetti, also pushed Djokovic to the limit in their first encounter at Roland Garros in 2021, when the Italian won the first two sets of their last-16 match before being sidelined in the decider due to injury.

“He’s a legend everywhere, but especially here at Wimbledon,” said Musetti.

“I expect a big fight. It’s one of the toughest challenges. But I’m an ambitious guy and I like to be challenged.”

If Musetti enters the Wimbledon Men's Singles Final, then it would be the first time in history that Italians would enter the Wimbledon finals. Jasmine Paolini is already in the Wimbledon Women’s Singles final.
