England Rises Up WTC Rankings After 2nd Test Against West Indies
Following a win in the 2nd test against West Indies, England moves three levels up in the WTC Rankings.
England Cricket Team moves off the bottom and rises by three spots after defeating West Indies in the 2nd Test Series in Nottingham. England finished the series on the 4th day, as the spinner Shoaib Bashir took the third five-wicket haul of his career. It helped England to West Indies for 143 in 385 run-chase.

Now England is leading the series with 2-0 in the three-match series against West Indies. The team has the chance to grab the series in a clean sweep after defeating West Indies in the final test.
With this win, England has got to rise three spots in the World Test Championship rankings passing South Africa, Bangladesh, and West Indies at the 6th spot right from the bottom.
What’s Next for England?
After this contest with West Indies, England will confront Sri Lanka in three tests at the home ground. Following this, England will tour Pakistan in October and New Zealand in November and December for a three-match series.
West Indies’ Ranking Drops
Following the defeat at Trent Bridge against England, West Indies fell to 9th with a 22 win-loss percentage. West Indies still has seven international tests left to regain the lost spot and raise the rankings. West Indies has yet to confront England, South Africa, Bangladesh, and Pakistan in the 1, 2, 2, and 2 tests.
Ben Stokes and the team have no changes in the playing XI for the final test and match of the series. Gudekesh Motie might join the team for the final test after missing the second one due to illness.
