This is what Carlos said when he spoke to Star Sports. Filled with joy and hopes, the young tennis prodigy has achieved a great milestone in his career.
“Being Wimbledon champion back-to-back, being a runner-up champion and Wimbledon champion the same year. So it’s something great, something that, honestly, I didn’t expect, to do it so fast, but I’m really happy about it. It’s something that I’m working on every day to achieve. So it has been a great match, a great achievement, and right now all I think about is trying to keep going.”

Carlos Alcaraz started off great and surprisingly took control and dominance in the match. The opening set was one-sided as Alcaraz took a double break and finished in 41 minutes. Keeping the momentum alive, Carlos won the second set by 6-2 as Djokovic struggled to get back in the game.
It was all about winning the trophy – Djokovic put the pedal to the metal and tried to get back control in the third set, but Alcaraz gave it tough treatment. Responding the same way, Carlos took the match towards a tiebreak, but in the end, Carlos Alcaraz won the tiebreak by 7-4 and became the Wimbledon Men’s Singles 2024 winner.

The 21-year-old Spaniard becomes only the second man in the open era, after Roger Federer, to win his first four grand slam finals, and he outperforms the great Swiss, Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal by reaching that milestone before turning 22.
