Novak Djokovic To Face-Off Carlos Alcaraz in Wimbledon Men’s Final

Novak Djokovic defeated Musetti in the Wimbledon Semifinals. Both Carlos and Novak will confront each other in the finals.

Novak Djokovic defeated Musetti in the Wimbledon Semifinals by 6-4, 7-6 (2), 6-4. With this win, Djokovic enters the finals of the Wimbledon Men’s Singles. Djokovic with his exceptional skills showcased a great performance and defeated Musetti in straight sets.

In the final match, Novak Djokovic will lock horns with the defending champion, Carlos Alcaraz. It seems like 2023, repeated itself.

Since 2014-15, this is the first time when Djokovic and Federer competed in continuous finals. The same players will confront in the title match one after the other.

Here’s what Djokovic said while addressing the crowd-

“I’ve said it many times, Wimbledon has become a childhood dream for me to play and win. I was a seven-year-old boy watching bombs fly over my head and dreaming of being on the most important court in the world,"

“I was constructing Wimbledon trophies put of any material in the room. It has been an incredible journey. I try not to take it for granted every time I find myself on this unique court.

“Obviously, during the match, it’s business time and..I try outplay my opponent. I'm satisfied and pleased, but I don’t want to stop here. Hopefully, I get my hands on the trophy.”

The Crowd was Easy This Time

In his last match, Djokovic got hear some boos from the crowd. Djokovic had already expressed his frustration after his victory against Holger Rune. But this time, Djokovic got more encouragement from the crowd but surely his actions brought out some boos.

Djokovic presented extreme athleticism and versatility, imposing intense pressure on Musetti. The admirers got to see his signature celebration and that is pretending to play violin with the racquet.

"I came to London eight days before the tournament started. I didn't know (if I would play). I was keeping everything open until the day of the draw,"

"I played a couple of practice sets with top players and that proved to me I was in good enough state to not just be Wimbledon, but to go deep in the tournament. That kind of mentality is there and is ever present. Thanks to the team members for helping me.”
