Juventus Edge Out Spurs to Secure PSG’s Randal Kolo Muani

Juventus and Spurs were engaged in a transfer battle for Paris Saint-Germain's Randal Kolo Muani. However, it looks like now the Italian giants have won the race to sign the Frenchman. The Bianconeri have reached a loan agreement with PSG, and Kolo Muani is on the verge of becoming a Juventus player.

Reports are buzzing that Randal Kolo Muani is on his way to Turin to finalize his move to Juventus. Even the ever-reliable Fabrizio Romano has given his signature “Here We Go!” seal of approval. On X (formerly Twitter), he shared: “Randal Kolo Muani to Juventus, here we go! Deal in place on loan until June from PSG with NO buy option. Kolo Muani has accepted the proposal and will fly to Turin this week for medical tests. Agreement sealed.” Juventus weren’t the only club in the race. Tottenham had also made a bid for the French forward, but by the time they did, PSG had already agreed to a loan deal with Juve. Ultimately, the decision rested with Kolo Muani—and he opted for the Bianconeri.

Spurs have been hunting for attacking reinforcements for some time now, and missing out on Randal Kolo Muani is undoubtedly a major setback for their transfer plans. With only one fit striker available in their squad, Tottenham were prepared to meet the Frenchman’s hefty €700,000-per-month salary. However, their current struggles—sitting in 13th place and absent from the Champions League—played a significant role in his decision to join Juventus instead. For Kolo Muani, the allure of Champions League football with the Old Lady proved too tempting to pass up. Despite the disappointment, Spurs fans can take some solace in Fabrizio Romano’s reassurance that the club has alternative targets lined up. An attacking addition to their squad seems inevitable as they look to salvage their season.

Randal Kolo Muani’s move to Juventus feels like a win-win for everyone involved. For the player, it’s a golden opportunity to reboot his career at one of Europe’s most storied clubs after a disappointing stint at his boyhood team. For Juventus, it’s a smart move—they’re bringing in a versatile forward who can lead the line solo or thrive in a front two. With Dusan Vlahovic sidelined by injury, Kolo Muani is a more-than-capable replacement. And for PSG? They free themselves of one of their highest earners, easing the financial strain on their wage bill. It’s a bittersweet twist for the Frenchman, who likely never envisioned his PSG journey ending like this—especially after the club splashed out a hefty €95 million ($102.6m) to secure his signature just 18 months ago. But in football, nothing is ever guaranteed.
