FA Cup 4th-Round Draw: Aston Villa to Face Tottenham, Holders Manchester United to Host Leicester City

After a thrilling set of matches in the FA Cup's third round, the draw for the fourth round has been unveiled—and it’s shaping up to deliver plenty of drama. With a mix of all-Premier League battles and classic David-vs-Goliath encounters, the next stage of this historic competition promises to grab headlines. However, if you missed the draw, don’t fret—we’ve got all the details to keep you in the loop.

Holders Manchester United, who progressed into the next round by overcoming Arsenal at the Emirates on penalties, are set to face Premier League rivals Leicester City in the fourth round. Adding an extra layer of intrigue, the Foxes are led by none other than Ruud van Nistelrooy, who’s sure to receive a thunderous welcome back at Old Trafford from the United faithful. Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a tricky test as they travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa. Spurs edged past non-league side Tamworth in extra time, while Villa staged an impressive comeback to beat West Ham 2-1 in Graham Potter’s debut as the Hammers’ boss.

Elsewhere, Chelsea face a stern test as they clash with Brighton in an all-Premier League encounter. Completing the quartet of top-flight showdowns, Bournemouth will take on Everton, setting the stage for another heated contest. Championship strugglers Plymouth, fresh off their stunning upset over Brentford, have been rewarded with a glamorous home tie against Premier League leaders Liverpool. Meanwhile, Exeter, reaching the fourth round for the first time since 1981, face a challenging home fixture against Nottingham Forest. Newcastle United, on the other hand, are set to visit League One leaders Birmingham in what promises to be a fascinating tie.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City hit the road to take on either Leyton Orient or Derby County. Championship frontrunners Leeds United will host the winners of Millwall vs. Dagenham & Redbridge at Elland Road, while Frank Lampard’s Coventry, last year’s semi-finalists, face a tricky tie against top-flight Ipswich Town. Elsewhere, Premier League sides Wolves, Crystal Palace, and Fulham are all on the road. Wolves will visit Blackburn, Palace face either Mansfield or Wigan, and Fulham take on Doncaster. League One promotion chasers Wycombe Wanderers are also set for an away day, traveling to face either Preston or Charlton.

Burnley will head south to take on Premier League strugglers Southampton, who looked comfortable as they brushed aside Swansea in their third-round tie. Meanwhile, Stoke City will host Cardiff in an all-Championship clash. Mark your calendars because these fourth-round ties are scheduled for the weekend of February 8-9. The Football Association will confirm the exact dates and kick-off times soon.
