The draws for Carabao Cup’s fourth round draw have been made. And oh boy, do we have some juicy fixtures lined up. Reigning English champions Manchester City will face Tottenham Hotspur in the next round.
After Arsenal and Liverpool wrapped up emphatic 5-1 home wins over Bolton Wanderers and West Ham, the Carabao Cup fourth-round draw brought some exciting fixtures. The standout tie sees reigning champions Manchester City heading to London for a thrilling clash against Tottenham Hotspur. Elsewhere, Brighton will welcome Liverpool to the Amex, while Manchester United face a tricky test against fellow Premier League side Leicester City. Unai Emery’s Aston Villa will also be in action, hosting Crystal Palace at Villa Park in a game that promises thrilling action.
Three non-Premier League clubs still remain in the competition: Preston North End, Stoke City, and Sheffield Wednesday. AFC Wimbledon could join that group if they manage to beat Newcastle United in their delayed third-round match. The winner of that match will face Chelsea in the next round. Arsenal, meanwhile, were handed a favorable draw, as they will meet Championship side Preston North End. Other fixtures see Southampton hosting Sheffield Wednesday, and Brentford taking on Stoke City. The fixtures will be played in the week commencing 28th October.
