Australia Women’s Team got far ahead in the game before the first day of the Test ended. Winning the toss and choosing to field first, the Captain, Alyssa Healy’s decision was on the spot.


South African Team got whitewashed in just (76) runs. Darcie Brown scores her maiden Test leaving the Proteas (South Africa) in disorder. To add to the strain, the hosts were strong with the bat, despite losing the top order early on when Masabata Klaas removed Litchfield, Perry, and McGrath cheaply.


Alyssa Healy led from the front and finished with a score of (99) before being sent back to the pavilion in the Tour of South Africa Women in Australia. Beth Mooney, her partner, contributed (78) runs to help them turn the innings around.

Scenario So Far - South Africa Women's Tour of Australia

The tour began on 27 January 2024. Australia won the ODI and T20I series, and they currently lead the multi-format series. The one-off Test match began on 15 February 2024. It will be a historic match for both Australia and South Africa, as it will be their first time playing in the red-ball format.


Australia is already leading and winning the Tour, the Aussies have registered a win in the T20I and ODI series. Apart from battling against one of the world’s best teams, this tour has been special for the Proteas.

Ayanda Hlubi

The 19-year-old pacer made her international debut on 8 December 2023, in a T20I against Bangladesh. Ayanda Hlubi also made her ODI debut in the second match of the recently finished ODI series against Australia. She received a call-up and her first red-ball cap for South Africa at the age of 19 as a result of her previous strong performances.

Tazmin Brits

On 19 May 2018, the 33-year-old opening batter made her international debut in a T20I against Bangladesh. Tazmin Brits made her ODI debut against Pakistan on 26 January 2021, and played (24) matches, scoring (581) runs. She is preparing to make her red-ball debut in a historic Test in the 2024 South Africa Women's tour of Australia.

Masabata Klaas

The 33-year-old veteran pacer has already established herself as an important element of the Proteas pace attack in white-ball matches. The bowler made her International debut on 6 October 2010 against Sri Lanka. Her finest performance with the ball came in the recently finished ODI series with Australia. Masabata Klaas eventually gets her long-awaited chance in the red-ball format versus Australia.

Delmi Tucker

On 11 June 2022, the 26-year-old all-rounder made her international debut in an ODI against Ireland. Delmi Tucker has played seven ODIs and scored (53) runs in three innings. In the T20I format, she has played (14) matches, scored (50) runs in 10 innings with the bat, and taken three wickets in twelve innings.
