Age is just a number, they say, but Rohan Bopanna is the right illustration. The 43-year-old, Rohan wins the Men’s Doubles Final of the Australian Open 2024.
Rohan Bopanna made history on Saturday in Melbourne, winning the Australian Open men's doubles title with partner Matthew Ebden at the Rod Laver Arena. In the final, the Indo-Aussie duo defeated Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori of Italy, 7-6(0) 7-5.
With this win, Rohan becomes the oldest Grand Slam Winner, a perfect example of perseverance and never losing hope.
Bopanna's triumph made him the oldest man to win a Grand Slam championship in the Open era, at 43 years and 329 days. Bopanna also joined the rare group of Indians who have won the Australian Open.

Rohan Machanda Bopanna, born March 4, 1980 is an Indian professional tennis player who specializes in doubles. For many years, Bopanna collaborated with Pakistan's Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, dubbed the Indo-Pak Express.
The champion started playing at the age of 11. Bopanna competed in his first ITF Junior tournament, the India ITF Junior World Ranking Event, in 1996.
Bopanna's career statistics improved during the 2006 season. He began the season by qualifying for the main draw of the Chennai Open, defeating Marcin Matkowski, Danai Udomchoke, and Rajeev Ram in straight sets.
Bopanna won the men's doubles title at the Countrywide Classic in Los Angeles, partnering Eric Butorac. It was his first ATP title. Now we are ready to witness some good tennis and winning titles by Rohan Bopanna.
