Eyeing a spot in the World Cup, Rishabh Pant speeds up the IPL run chart

Rishabh Pant, the third-fastest player to score 3,000 IPL runs, is in good form and has improved his chances of being selected for India's T20 World Cup squad.

The third-fastest player to score 3,000 IPL runs, Rishabh Pant, is now in form and has increased his chances of being included in India's T20 World Cup squad. He has surpassed Sanju Samson.

The wicketkeeper-batsman, returning from a car accident, is leading the Delhi Capitals' batting charge in IPL 2024. He is their leading scorer with 194 runs and two fifties in just six games.

Samson had set a record for the fastest to reach the milestone. His win against Lucknow Super Giants was a crucial one for DC and he also broke it. Shubman Gil, who achieved the feat earlier in the week, was the fastest to reach the milestone.

Pant is a contender for the Indian World Cup wicketkeeper position, and he has been putting up a good performance alongside other contenders such as KL Rahul or Ishan. The selection committee is expected to finalize the squad before the end of April. This puts pressure on the hopefuls who are still playing in the IPL.
