India Lost, Australia Won - ICC U-19 World Cup 2024 Final

It was a flashback with not-so-good memories of the ICC World Cup 2023 Finals for the Indians, where India lost against Australia.

Australia U-19 won the ICC U-19 World Cup 2024 by (79) runs. Indian Men’s Team lost to Australia in the World Test Championship, 2023 ODI Final, and now, the ICC U-19 World Cup 2024.

Australia U19 have won the toss and have opted to bat.

The Aussies made (253) runs, losing (7) wickets. India started to take control of the match by eliminating Sam Konstas (opener) at zero runs. Certain batters took charge and helped the team to score a satisfactory target score.

Harry Dixon, Hugh Weibgen, and Harjas Singh scored well, hitting (42), (48), and (55) runs respectively. Indian bowlers tried hard to stop runs and took wickets. Raj, Naman, Saumy, and Musheer took (3), (2), (1), and (1) wicket respectively.

Till the first innings was over, India had the hope of winning the match. The team won against South Africa in the first Semi-Final match, chasing a score of (244) runs.

All Hopes were Shattered!

The moment, Arshin Kulkarni’s wicket on the score of (3) runs fell, the strong Indian batting line-up started to tremble. Adarsh and Musheer took the stance and held the ground for a few more runs, till (40).

After this, the wickets fell like Jenga bricks, and India’s hopes were shattered. Five of the top and middle order got out in just single-digit runs.

Murugan Abhishek stood at the pitch, where everybody felt that there was a chance. Soon, he got out and could only score (42) runs. This was the final door toward the win, got shut!

The India U-19 got out at (174) runs, and the innings was over in (43.5) overs.
