BAN Tossed the Bad Luck Away!

Bangladesh captain Shanto won the toss and decided to bowl at McLean Park, which is generally considered best for batting. New Zealand's top order collapsed and they lost six wickets for (70) runs. There was a lot of grass on the pitch, of which Shoriful Islam, Soumya Sarkar, and Tanzim Hasan Sakib took full advantage and each took 3 wickets. After bowling out New Zealand for just (98) runs in 31.4 overs, captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto scored an unbeaten (51) runs off 42 balls and Anamul Haq contributed (37) runs off 33 balls as Bangladesh secured its first ODI win over New Zealand in 19 attempts.  Tanzim Hasan Sakib became the Player of the Match.

Kiwis’ Bat Couldn’t Withstand The Bangla Bowling

The biggest partnership of the innings for New Zealand was (36) runs for the third wicket between Will Young (26 runs) and Tom Latham (21 runs). Apart from these two, only two other batsmen could reach double digits. After this, Sarkar took the wickets of Josh Clarkson (16 runs), Adam Milne (04), and Aditya Ashok (10 runs). The last wicket was in the name of Mushfiqur Rahim (one wicket for 36 runs).

Bangladesh on Saturday bowled out New Zealand for its lowest score in the ODI between the two teams.

New Zealand head coach Gary Stead was warned about Bangladesh's increased pace in conditions away from home and the hosts proved their value on Saturday as Bangladesh scored their first victory in ODI in the series against New Zealand in their backyard.

Bangladesh took just 15 overs to defeat New Zealand by nine wickets in the third ODI on Saturday, ending the hosts' 17-match winning streak at home. New Zealand won the three-match ODI series (2–1). New Zealand won the first ODI by (44) runs and the second ODI by seven wickets.
