Australia Wins the Series - India-W vs Australia-W 3rd T20I - Australia Tour of India 2023-24

Australia-W beats India-W by 7 wickets, taking home the series. Australia dominated the ODI and the T20 contest, while India managed to win the Only Test.

The Aussies won the toss and chose to field first. The luck turned to their side from this moment as the pitch report stated that the chasing runs would be a hard nut to crack. While Australia enjoys the victory, India needs to ponder upon and gear up for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024.

Match Preview

At first, it seemed like a good start for the Indian batters but things started to tremble after the fall of the first wicket. Shafali Verma got caught out in the (4.4) over-scoring (26) runs. The top batting order did not perform as expected. Stopping the wicket and adding up to the scoreboard was the first concern, batters seemed to lack in a good performance.

While Australian bowlers were ruthless, especially Sutherland, the bowler took (2) wickets, and gave away just (12) runs, with an economy rate of (3). Wareham, Gardner, and Megan took (2), (1), (1) wickets each. India managed to score (147) runs till the final over, at a loss of (6) wickets.

The Australian openers performed just the way they were expected, Beth Mooney and Alyssa Healy scored a partnership of (50), which helped them to grab the win. Healy scored (55) runs and Mooney stood till the final run with (52) runs off (45) balls. A good chase confirmed their win, and they finished the game in (18.4) overs.

With Australia winning the series, the team is getting stronger and tougher for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. While India needs to learn from the mistake, and we are hoping for a win and some good cricket.
